How do you think what is the theme of our lesson?
-Yes, you are right. Let’s begin our new theme. Today’s our new theme “Food and drink”. Open your books at page 42.
-I’ll divide you in two groups. You will compete! You’re the first group! Your name is «Food». You’re the second group! Your name is «Drink».
-Today we’ll have competition lesson. There are five tasks in our competition.
The first task you’ll write a dialogue;
The second task is complete the chart;
The third task is to read the text and translate the sentences;
The fourth task is advertisement;
The fifth task is to watch an animated cartoon and find new words.
New words:
Pupils! Look at the blackboard. You can see the new words on the slide. Now repeat after me. The first word is a tomato, all together.

There is, there’s and there are, there’re
We use there is and there are when we first refer to the existence or presence of someone or something:
Example:
There is a letter on your desk.
There are three Japanese students in my class.
Negative form: There is not= There isn’t/ There are not= There aren’t

We also use There is with uncountable nouns:
There is a good song on the radio.
There is milk in the fridge.
There is ice-cream on your shirt.

Kazakh traditional food
In Kazakhstan people eat a lot of meat. Their traditional food is the Kazakh meat. Kazakh people are very hospitable. When they invite guests they also cook pilaf (палау), kuyrdak. They have some traditional milk products. They are kurt,irimshik. Their traditional drinks are kymyz, shubat. These drinks are very useful for our health.
The fourth task is advertisement;

The fifth task is to watch an animated cartoon about «Pancakes»
and find new words.
