Kabardino-Balkaria is a nice Republic situated in the heart of Caucasus.The population is made up of Kabardinians,Balkarians,Russians and other nationalities. 800 thousand people live here. Flag Coat-of-arms Yanicoy Our village was founded in1908.It is situated in Chegem Gorge. The population of Yanicoy nowadays is 4670.A lot of wonderful people live here. The first Hero of Soviet Union in Kabardino- Balkaria Alim Baisultanov was born in Yanicoy. He died as a hero in the fighting for Leningrad in1943 and was buried in the cold waters of Baltic sea.The school you are visiting has the name of our famous hero. Alim Yusupovich Baysultanov Nalchic Nalchic-a pearl of Caucasus is the most beautiful town in our region. Our capital is nice and modern with straight treelined streets, highstoreyed buildings,theaters, cinemas and libraries. National Park in Nalchic It is one of the largest and one of the most beautiful parks of Russia. Caucasus Elbrus It is the highest mountain in the Europe.The foothills of it is one of the popular places of our country.Lots of tourists are attracted by the heaven reaching two-peaked Elbrus,by the beauty of the canyons, mountain rivers with crystal clear water. Chegem Gorge The main sight of Chegem Gorge are Chegem Waterfalls. Thousands of people visit this place every day. Kaisyn Kuliev The Blue Lakes The beauty of the Blue Lakes attracts a lot of tourists to this picteresque place.The temperature of water here is the same all the year round 9,3C.There is no fish in this lake.No river can be seen falling into it,but every second one ton of water is flowing out of it.
