Presentation of Present Perfect through Language Analysis
English grammar is one of the most interesting parts for English learners and even native speakers of this language. There are several ways of its presentation. Being teaching English for almost 9 nine years I’d like to show in practice how to present Present Perfect to the learners in an unusual way i.e. according to language analysis given in IMPACT Teacher Training Program “Innovative Methods and Practical Activities for Creative Teaching”:
Context: Two friends are meeting each other. One of them wonders where he went in summer. And the second responds: “I’ve been to America”.
Form:
The tense is Present Perfect.
It is formed by have/has +Past Participle
Negative form: I haven’t been to America.
Question: Have I been to America.
Pronoun Change: He has been to America. She’s been to America.
Meaning (Concept):
He has been to America.
He’s talking about past time (event).
Unknown “when”
It has relationship with now.
Phonology:

I’ve been to America.
