Our projects The big daddy of the big cats The tiger is the largest of the cat family. The Siberian tiger is the largest of all tigers The animal's body is extended, flexible, its head is roundish, the legs not especially long, but the tail, on the other hand, is rather long, and equally furry for its entire length. The tiger is a huge, powerful animal, and even in the zoo conditions leaves a lasting impression of an animal that is nimble and quick. Their size is impressive. An adult can have a footpad ranging in size from 9 to 13 cm. Tigers reach 180-280 cm in length, with 90 cm tail, and total body weight can reach 272 kg. No two tigers have the same stripe pattern. Each is unique, like human fingerprints. STRIPE PATTERNS ARE DIFFERENT ON EACH SIDE OF THE BODY. UNLIKE MOST CATS, THE TIGER IS FOND OF WATER AND IS A GOOD SWIMMER,SOMETIMES PLUNGING INTO LAKES AFTER PREY. A TIGER'S ROAR CAN BE HEARD 2KM AWAY. THE TIGER HAS A REPUTATION AS A MAN-EATER BUT IT'S RARE FOR IT TO ATTACK PEOPLE. WHEN HUNTING, IT USES COVER SUCH AS TREES AND BUSHES TO HIDE AND THEN SNEAKS UP ON ITS PREY. A hundred speciesof the kangaroo family live in the open places of Australia. They eat grass and the leaves of small trees.The kangaroo's body is specially built for jumping. This kind of animals has become endangered because of destruction of their habitat. There are special wild – life parks to protect them. What a funny animal! Piatypus lives in Tasmania; eats insects, worms, crustaceans, mollusks, and tadpoles; born from eggs; Ostriches eat plants and insects. People kill ostriches for their plumage. Male ostriches are most black, but they have white feathers on the wings and tail. The females are usually brown. oalas are small animals. They have small yellow eyes, a round black nose and big ears. Koalas eat only plants. Koalas are made for climbing. They can climb well. Koalas live in Australia. Koalas have thick fur. They are very lovely. Children like them. To establish our own zoo we have to -choose the proper place -select the animals -discuss some problems concerning animals lives INGO The dingo is an animal which looks like the domestic dog. It hunts kangaroos, rabbits, land birds and echidnas. It also runs down and kills sheep . Like wolves, these animals hunt alone or in packs. Your hometask. Write about your own zoo.
