Father frost and Santa Claus
Цели урока:
Социокультурный аспект: знакомство с символами Рождества и Нового года в англоязычных странах и в России, с традиционными зимними поздравительными открытками и правилами их написания, знакомство с традиционными зимними песенками.
Развивающий аспект:  
Развитие языковых способностей к имитации, догадке, логическому изложению;
Развитие способности к решению речемыслительных задач: соотнесению;
Развитие психических процессов и функций: внимания, памяти, мышления, воображения;
Развитие компенсаторных умений: использовать речевые образцы в качестве опоры при построении собственных высказываний, догадываться о значении  незнакомых слов по аналогии с родным языком и иллюстративной наглядности;
Развитие учебных умений: работать со справочными материалами
Воспитательный аспект: осознание совей культуры через контекст культуры англоязычных стран, воспитание познавательных потребностей, воспитание интереса и уважительного отношения к иностранному языку и культуре народов англоязычных стран, формирование способности участвовать в межкультурной коммуникации и представлять родную культуру.
Учебный аспект: формирование лексических навыков
Сопутствующая задача: совершенствование навыков чтения по транскрипции, навыков каллиграфии, произносительных навыков, навыков аудирования.

Речевые функции: делать пожелания  по особым случаям
Оснащение урока: аудиозапись, новые слова-листочки детям в тетради, новые слова с переводом на доску, гирлянды флажков, изображения героев русских сказок

T: Look at our fir-tree! It’s very nice, isn’t it? But it has no toys. Let’s decorate it right now! Please, come to the blackboard, take any toy you like, name it and hang on the Christmas tree. Then take a flashcard and stick it on the blackboard.

Т. You are right. Надо выбрать ту открытку, где написано «I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year», потому что в англоязычных странах сначала празднуют Рождество, а потом – Новый год. Напишите, кому вы адресуете свою открытку, и подпишите её.
VIII. Writing a postcard.
T: I’m sure now you know a lot about Christmas and New Year. One of the traditions is writing postcards to your relatives, to your friends. Let’s write a postcard to…Father Frost. Ask him to bring you a present and describe it. Don’t forget to thank Father Frost and Snowmaiden. Then show us your cards and read them.
