William Shakespeare
Great Britain has given lots of prominent people to the world, but one of the noblest and most famous man of all was William Shakespeare. William Shakespeare was born in 1564 in the English town of Stratford-upon-Avon. His father was a businessman and the town's mayor. His mother came from a family that owned land near Stratford. William had three younger brothers and two younger sisters.Like other boys of middle-class families, William attended a grammar school in Stratford where he got a good education and also learned Latin.

When William was 18 he married Anne Hathaway. They had three children, first Susanna and then twins, a son named Hamnet and a daughter named Judith. Hamnet died when he was 11.

All in all he wrote more than 37 plays, 154 sonnets, two long poems and a great number of other poems. The main genres of Shakespeare’s works were tragedies and comedies. Almost all his literary works have been translated into more than 30 languages. His most famous works include such plays as “Romeo and Juliet”, “Hamlet”, “King Lear”, “Othello”

"Romeo and Juliet" Shakespeare's tragedy "Romeo and Juliet" is the most sad and beautiful love story in world literature. Two young people, passionate and pure of heart, can't join their lives due to the fact that their families are in a long-standing feud. Two lovers, ready for his love for incredible deeds, and the tragic end – fatal combination of circumstances that calls for readers to tears and an understanding of how prejudice can destroy a person's life.

His last three pieces he wrote in collaboration with another playwright, probably with John Fletcher, who succeeded Shakespeare as chief dramatist in the company "the Servants of the king".23 April 1616 Shakespeare died.His literature still remains highly claimed and appreciated.
