Preliminaries of the lesson.
Teacher: Good afternoon children. I’m glad to see you today. How are you, Kate?
(T-P1, P2…)
The theme of our lesson is “Home sweet Home”.
Children , you can see my house on the blackboard. It’s a pity but some rooms haven’t been furnished yet. Your task will be to help me furnish it. The aim of our lesson is to furnish the rooms and try to sell the house. Today we are going to work in groups.
The main part of the lesson
1.Revision of the words on the theme .
T.:First let’s revise the words on the theme. Look at the house on the blackboard and tell me how many floors has it got and what are they .P1,P2…
T.:The next task for you will have to guess the names of the rooms:
-You sleep in it.
-You cook there
-You watch tv in this room
-You put a car there
-You play football there
P1,2,3…
T.: I see that you know them very well. But now you have to guess the pieces of furniture
-You put books there
-You can sit on it
-You sleep on it
-You listen to music on it
-You wash up there.

T.: Very nice pupils, I’m pleased with your answers. But now you have to make the sentences using the structures “there is\are”
( a poster, a table, a mirror cushions, an armchair, a cooker, cupboards, a wadrobe.)

T.:Now work in pairs and ask each other questions using “where is\ where are?”

T.: As you can see there isn’t one room in my house. You”ll have to listen to the text and to furnish it. You have to work in groups.
“My bedroom is great. There isn’t much furniture in it. The walls in my room are green. I’ve got a double bed, a dressing table, two bedside cabinets. There are lamps on them. There is a beautiful picture on the wall. And the bed is under it. The dressing table is opposite the bed. I like my room very much.”
Pupils help to arrange the furniture in the room.
T.: But you know I need your help. I want to sell my house so I want you to make an advertisement for my house. But first lets listen to some ads and tell me please which house people want to buy.

Pupils listen and then they make their own ads in groups. Then they choose whose ad was the best.
The summing up.
I see that you are prepared for the lesson very well. You know the words ,you can make the sentences and you are even the experts in making ads. And as a conclusion let’s sing the song “Where is your home”
Hometask .T.: for your hometask you have to write an assay “My dream house”
