This city is the main industrial and cultural centre of the Ural Federal District.
There are many old buildings in the city where the workers of the factory URALMASH lived. The city was built with extensive use of iron,there are many figures made of iron here which are about love and improve your mood. The Pushkin monument Many buildings have interesting architecture (for example, the Sevastyanov's house)
There are many other attractions in the city: among them
the Kharitonov park with a quiet pond and a lovely rotunda. You сan also see the old railway station(now it is a museum) The Opera House building The Puppet Theatre The Circus The Ural State University (URGU). There is a monument to the first Russan president in Yekaterinburg: The heart of Ekaterinburg is formed by a Dam or so-called "Plotinka" The Church on the Blood was built on theplace where on July 17, 1918 the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II and his family— the Empress Alexandra, the Grand Prince Alexei, the Grand Princesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, and Anastasia, and their faithful servants were murdered. The bodies of the Royal family members
were secretly transported to
Ganina Yama and thrown into the pit.
The remains of the Tsar, his wife, and their
three other daughters were found near
Yekaterinburg in 1991 and the remains of
two more children of Russia's last Tsar
were discovered only in 2007. Welcome to the city! It's worth visiting!
