Conan Doyle. “The Lost World” “The Lost World” is a novel released in 1912. It is about an expedition to a plateau in the Amazon Basin of South America. Prehistoric animals (dinosaurs and other extinct creatures) still survive there. Deciding to investigate the lost world Challenger and his friends are attacked by huge animals. They had some misadventures The expedition could be killed many times Upon returning to England they presented their report which included pictures. Challenger shows a live pterodactyl as proof, which then escapes and flies out into the ocean.
