Victoria ( 24 of May 1819 – 22 of January 1901 )was the Queen regnant of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from the 20 of June 1837,and the first Empress of India of the British Raj from the 1 of May 1876, until her death. Her reign us the Queen lasted the 63 years and 7 monts , longer than that of any other British monarch before or since , and her is the longest of any female monarch in history. Victoria was born in Kensington Palace. At the time of her birth, her grandfather George 3, was on the throne. The time or her reign is know as the Victoria era , a period of industrial, cultural, political, scientific and military progress whithin the UK. Victoria*s reign was marked by a great expansion of the British Empire. During this period , it reached its zenith and became the foremost global power of the time.
