Данный конспект разработан для открытого урока по теме "Телевидение", за основу взят УМК Кузовлева, время работы: 45 мин.
Тип урока: комбинированный: изучается новый лексический материал; повторяются и обобщаются пройденные ранее лексические единицы; развиваются коммуникативные умения учащихся в основных видах речевой деятельности (чтение, говорение, просмотр видеофрагмента).
Цель урока: расширить, систематизировать и обобщить знания учащихся по теме
“The UK mass media: television”, совершенствовать коммуникативную компетенцию учащихся и развивать у них межпредметные навыки.
Задачи урока:
образовательная: совершенствовать навыки устной речи с использованием ранее изученной лексики, систематизировать знания учащихся и введение новой лексики по теме “ The UK mass media: television ”, создавать условия для развития практического владения языком;
развивающая: развивать способности к продуктивным речевым действиям, внимание, логическое мышление, умение сравнивать, извлекать необходимую информацию из текста, развивать навык самостоятельного поиска информации и её систематизации с презентацией полученных данных;
воспитательная: мотивация к изучению английского языка.
Формы организации учебной деятельности: индивидуальная работа.
Методы и приемы: наглядные (демонстрация видео и изображений), частично-поисковый (работа с текстом, выделение главной мысли, работа с раздаточным материалом), словесные (обсуждение).
Оборудование: компьютер, видеозапись, презентация к уроку, раздаточный материал.

1. Организационный момент.
Good morning, Ilusha. Nice to meet you, Ilusha. Take your seat, please and get ready for the lesson. So if you are ready, let’s start the lesson.
First of all I would like to talk with a little bit:
T:What’s the weather like today?
P: It’s not fine.
T: Is the sun shining?
P: No it isn’t, but it is going to rain.
T:What day is it today?
P: It is Friday.
T:What day will it be tomorrow?
P: It will be Saturday.
2. Today you get a lot of information from different resources, and you know a lot. Now I would like to check your attentiveness. I will show you some pictures connecting with our topic of the lesson. And I would like you to guess the topic of our lesson.
1Slide – Who is it?
1 Slide – I’ll give you the second help (hint). What is it? (I can tell you only that it is situated in Moscow).
1 Slide – ok, maybe this picture will help you?! What is it? Yes, that’s right, it’s a TV-set and it shows us different programmes. I hope you have guessed what we are going to talk about today.
2 Slide – Yes, that’s right, it’s television. And let’s return to our first picture. Slide 3 (Zvorykin Vladimir Kozmich (1889-1982) – a russian-american engineer, one of the inventors of modern television).
Slide 4 (Shukhovskaya tower (1920-1922) – one of the most beautiful and outstanding achievements of architecture).
Slide 5 (The first TV-set was invented by Zvorykin in 1939).
3. I offer you to do the first task- Slide 6
Now look at your screen, you see the list of useful new words. The first column– list of the words, the second – “plus” (if you know this word), “minus” (if you don’t know this word). Now let’s fill this table you can write “+” if you know this word and “-“ if you don’t know, please write without thinking, you have only 1 minute:

8. Ilusha, you see that television is one of the most effective means of mass communication available to man. But now it’s high time to do our physical exercises:

8. Please look at the slides 10 and 11, let’s speak about advantages of watching TV and disadvantages of watching TV. Please read and translate them all.
9. And now please open your book at p.60 and pay attention on our active vocabulary in the Word Box. Here you can see the new words. Let’s read them and pay attention on their translation. Now we can do ex.1 “The UK Mass Media”. Ilusha, please read the sentences and translate them. Thank you very much.
10. At the end of our lesson write down your home task for the next lesson: find slide 13 - comment on the following quotation: “All television is educational television. The only question is, what is it teaching?”(Nicholas Johnson); book: p.60, ex.1, extracts 3-4 read/translate.
