PARIS In France France is in the Western Europe. The capital of France - Paris, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. France has many historical and architectural monuments. It is popular with tourists. Paris is the capital of France, its economic and cultural center. It’s situated in the north part of central France at the bank of the river Seine. Paris is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and it is certainly the most romantic. The city is full of sights and tourist attractions, including charming architecture, numerous bridges and squares. There are more than 130 museums and 1800 historic places there Paris is divided into 20 arrondissements (districts or boroughs), each of which has a local council and a mayor, but most of the power is held by the mayor of the City of Paris who is chosen by the city's council. Paris and its suburbs together make up the eight departments of the Ile-de-France administrative region, which is governed by an elected assembly, chairman, and supervisor and overseen by a prefect appointed by the state.
The River Seine divides the city into two halves, called the Left Bank and Right Bank. The right bank is on the north side, left to the south. In general the right bank claims the sophistication and modern development in Paris, while the left bank has the universities, parks and historic areas. There are two islands on the river in the middle of the city, Ile de la Cite and Ile de St. Louis. The Ile Saint Louis is surrounded by a series of quays. The Pont Saint-Louis is one of the most popular bridges of Paris as it allows people to stroll freely from the Ile de la Citй to the Ile Saint-Louis, and it boasts prime views of the two islands. The museum was opened in 1793 and became one of the first museums opened for public.The Louvre is one of the oldest museums in the world. It houses various collections from all over the world. There are a lot of exhibits representing different cultures and epochs such as Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and others. There are plenty of statues, canvases and other objects of art.The entrance to the museum is free almost for everyone. It is open nearly every day.It houses a lot of world’s most famous works.
