Развивающие: развивать навыки устной речи, аудирования, письма; развивать иноязычную коммуникативную компетенцию обучающихся; развивать критическое мышление, внимание и память; развивать социокультурную компетенцию.
Воспитательные: формировать гражданскую компетенцию и активную позицию патриота по отношению к защите окружающей среды; воспитывать чувство сострадания, толерантности, взаимопомощи.

What date is it today? Who is absent today?
Look at the blackboard. Now you will listen to the song. After listening try to guess what is the topic of our lesson. (играет песня Майкла Джексона «Earth song»)
While watching the video think and make notes about the most important problems mentioned in it. What is this video about?
It is about air, water and land pollution.
Tasks of the lesson are:
1.to develop the skills of speaking, listening and writing;
2.to speak about environmental problems;
3.to work with a videofilm;
4. to learn new idioms.
Today we are going to speak about the global issues.
Now look at the pictures and name the most serious global issues: war, child labour, poverty, famine, homelessness, global warming, pollution, endangered species(слайд 3-10).
There is one more part of our life which is connected with environment. Look at the slide and say what it is. It is weather. What associations do you have when you hear this word?
