Цель урока: Формирование социокультурной компетенции обучающихся по теме «Шотландия»
Задачи урока:
Образовательные: 1) освоить и отработать новые лексические единицы по данной теме; 2) совершенствовать навыки чтения; 3) обучать умению понимать на слух иноязычную речь; 4) совершенствовать лексические навыки;5) совершенствовать орфографические навыки.
Развивающие: 1) развивать умение работать в группе;2) развивать память, мышление, языковую догадку
Воспитательные: 1) сформировать уважение и интерес к культуре и народу страны изучаемого языка; 2) воспитать интерес к учению.
Ход урока.
I. Организационный момент.1) Приветствие.
Good morning, pupils! Glad to see you! Who is absent today? What date is it today? What day of the week is it today? What is the weather like today?
2) Сообщение темы и целей урока.
Some days ago we spoke about the United Kingdom of Great Britain. Now you know many interesting facts about G. B. and you can answer my questions.
What’s the capital of Nothern Ireland? Can you show this country on the map?
What’s the capital of Wales? Show it on the map.
What’s the capital of England?
What’s the symbol of Nothern Ireland?
What’s the symbol of Wales?
What’s the symbol of England?
What is the official language of the UK?
What’s the largest island of the country?
What’s the longest river in England?
What’s the biggest part of G. B.?
How many people live in England?
What theatre is the biggest theatre in G. B.?
What part of the UK did we talk about during our previous lessons?
What part of the UK are we going to talk about today?
You are right. It is Scotland. Today we’ll swim in the ocean of knowledge. This is our ocean.(проектор) At the end of the lesson you’ll be on the island. What island? It will be a surprise. Today we’ll also read an interesting text, we’ll work in groups and revise a grammar rule.

Before reading the text let’s read the words.
Repeat after me all together. Read them in chain. Translate the words from Russian into English.

We are going to read the text. Open your books on p. 99. What do you think? What is this text about?
O’k, let’s read it. The first task is to read it and match it to the pictures.
Complete the sentences. Ex. 93, p.100.
I’ll give you some minutes to do the next exercise. You should complete sentences with the correct names of places. Ex. 94, p.101

3) Развитие навыков монологического высказывания.
We read interesting texts about the UK. You know many facts about it. Now your task is to work in groups. You will speak about the parts of the UK. Imagine you work in a travel agency. Make an interesting advertisement of the country. You shouldn’t tell us what country it is. All the pupils will guess the name of the country. The words on the sheets of paper will help you.
