I hate skiing because I can't stand the cold. Maybe I should go somewhere with a desert (a hot, dry place with lots of sand) so that I can do sand skiing like this gentleman. Who knows, some day this could be an Olympic sport! Discussion Questions for Speaking Practice 1. Are there any special sports in your part of the world? 2. Have you ever gone skiing? (Either on snow or on sand?) 3. What do you like to do for fun? "Can this thing fly?" You know, San Francisco is a city full of hills. Somebody important, riding in this beautiful luxury car (called a limousine, or "limo" for short), didn't realize the difficulties of driving in such a hilly city. Maybe if this car had wings, it could take off and fly to the bottom. Discussion Questions for Speaking Practice 1. Who do you think is inside the limousine? 2. Have you ever had the chance to ride in a limousine? 3. What can they do to get the limo down this hill? "Chipmunk Triplets"This is just a cute photo which reminds me of home, because we have lots of chipmunks there. We also have lots of potatoes, but I have never seen chipmunks and potatoes together! Discussion Questions for Speaking Practice 1. Are there many animals near where you live? 2. Would you describe these chipmunks as "cute" or would you rather call them "delicious"? (Hmmmmm.... chipmunk and potato pie! I had never thought of that before today. Just kidding! )
