About 25% of world’s population apply Englishin different branches of science, business, mass media, television, politics, industry, agriculture and everyday life. English has become a means of communication. The influence of English is increasing day by day. Almost everywhere we come across the inscriptions in English. Today it is smart & snappy to name English different kinds of things, subjects, shops, clothes, toys, furniture & deeds. On the one hand it’s vindicated and on the other hand it is insupportable. There are various points of view on the question. To my mind necessary application of foreign words in any language is always essential in case of something novelty, namelyIn science, culture, sport, industry, education, our everyday life. Such images appear in the language to designate unknown concepts and facts, e.g. “chocolate”, ”television”, ”telephone”, ” the Internet”, “diesel”, “IQ” , “football”, “basketball”, “ rugby”, “windsurfing”, ”Microsoft”, “cash”, “browser” , “tank “,”project”,”reducer”,”transducer”.etc. These words did not exist in Russian and they took up the deserving place in the language. The second group of English words existing in any other language, exactly in the Russian language can be designated as words of the unnecessary application. Such set of words prevalent in any language and also in Russian. This layer of the English words occupied, occupies and is trying tosubstitute the most significant places in the native language, namely in the Russian language. Writers, scientists, politicians,common people, students and schoolchildren shouldn’t addict to insupportable,inexplicable foreign(English & other )words. As it can be seen from the examples above from the newspapers “Nashe Slovo”,”AIF” & “ MK in Cheboksary” we sometimes forget about the integrityof our Russian language, trying to substitute pure Russian words. But on the other hand we can’t dowithout the words that penetrate in our Russian language . That’s because of high developmentof science, culture, education, industry ,languages in the countries abroad, especially in the USA& the UK. And all the same we must be patriots of our great country. We must be proud of our mother tongue, our literature, our Pushkin, our people & purity of Russian language. I would liketo finish my work with Vladimir Dal’s words, the author of the Explanatory Vivid Russian LanguageDictionary: «Испещрение речи иноземными словами вошло у нас в поголовный обычай, а многие даже щеголяют этим, почитая русское слово, до времени, каким-то неизбежнымхудом, каким-то затоптанным половиком, рогожей, которую надо усыпать цветами инойпочвы, чтобы порядочному человеку можно было пройтись». I believe that these words haven’tlost their topicality today.
