.America and England celebrate an wonderful holiday. It is Mother`s Day. There is almost the same holiday on the 8th March in Russia. Mother`s Day is a celebration that honors mothers.

  The holiday was suggested by Anna Jarvis of Philadelphia in 1914. Since 1914, the whole country has observed Mother's day. 
Different countries celebrate Mother’s Day on various days of the year. Today Mother’s Day is celebrated in more than 46 countries at different times of May, in some countries it is celebrated in March.
In England people congratulate mothers and grandmothers with this holiday. They get a family together for a breakfast or a picnic. They eat cake and buy gifts of chocolate or flowers for their mothers as way to thank them for all they do.Mothering Sunday is celebrated in the United Kingdom on the fourth Sunday of March.

In Australia Mother’s Day is marked with pleasure. The Australian Mother’s Day coincides with the American. It is spent on the second Sunday of May and celebrated very similar. Australians express sincere gratitude and love to their mothers. Adults give expensive gifts to their mothers, kids give flowers and cards. As well as in the USA, in Australia it is accepted to use a carnation flower on this day. In Russia Mother’s day is celebrated since 1998. This holiday in Russia is marked on the last Sunday of November.
