Using proper names in phraseological units of the English languageAuthor: Mikutova Anastasiya, a pupil of 7th form MOU “Sotnur Secondary School”Teacher: Andreeva Edita Mihailovna The object of research is the history, culture, traditions and literature of the British people. The subject of the research is phraseological units, which include a proper name.The relevance of studying phraseological units is obvious. This layer of the language presents difficulty for learners of English as a foreign language. But after mastering the idioms we start to speak English better and we understand them perfectly. 1. To see the tasks of phraseology and types of phraseologism on baisis of the unity of their components;2. To describe nature and peculiarities of phraseological units and including phrsaeological units with proper name; 3. To systematize English phraseological units with proper names and to select them into groups;The aim of our study is a comprehensive review and analysis functioning of proper names in the phraseological units in English. Variety of proper names in free use are needed in necessary exploration and underlined phraseoloical units with proper names in a separate group. The aim of the study involves the following tasks: The hypothesis is that proper names in English phraseological turns reflect the history, culture and traditions of the British people.To solve the set tasks were used the following linguistic methods: the scientific description, quantitative analysis of phraseological units which has proper names and searching. Proper name – ( from the Greek. Onoma – name ) is a word, phrase or sentence that serves to differentiate them referred to as the object of a number of similar, individualizing and identifying the object. Unlike other words, onyms do not require translation . This relationship is seen in those phraseological units, which include a proper name.Secondly, we analysed proper names – components of phraseological units, which will limit the scope of names, often meeting in phraseology.
