William Shakespeare was born on the 26th of April in 1564 in Stratford- on- Avon. He grew up in the family of artisan and merchant John Shakespeare. His father wanted his son to be an educated person, and William was sent to the local grammar school where he learned Latin and classical Greek. When the boy studied at school he had no free time/ When he had a rest William liked to go to the forest and to the river Avon.

At that time actors and actresses visited Stratford-on-Avon. William liked watch them. He was fond of their profession and he decided to become an actor.He went to London. There he became an actor. He began to write plays too.

At the age of 18 he married Anne Hathaway, with whom he had three children: Susanna, and twins Hamnet and Judith. Anne Hathaway was born in Shottery, a small village just to the west of Stratford-upon-Avon, England. SUSANNA HALL was the eldest child of William Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway.As most women in seventeenth century in England ,Susanna and her sister Judith never received any education and did not learn to read and write. Susanna was married John Hall. They had only one child, a girl Elizabeth. She was Shakespeare’s granddaughter. Susanna died in 1649, at the good age of sixty – six.
Elizabeth Hall was Shakespeare’s granddaughter. She was well educated. Her first husband was the wealthy barrister Thomas Nash, son of Shakespeare ‘s good friend ,Anthony Nash .They lived in Abington Manor in New Place where Nash died in 1645.New Place

Shakespeare’s son Hamnet died, on the 11th of April in 1596 and was buried, while his father was on tour inKent. The cause of death is unknown ,although PLAGUE and FAMINEwere rife at that time in the Stratford area.Hamnet was 11 years old .He was the only son of W. Shakespeare .HAMNET’S GRAVE

Judith Quiney was the second daughter of W. Shakespeare and the twin of Hamnet. She was married in 1616 to Thomas Quiney, a vintner of Stratford - upon – Avon, in Holy Trinity Church.Judith and Thomas had 3 children: Shakespeare, Richard and Thomas. Shakespeare died as an infant in 1617; Richard and Thomas died in 1639, 19 and 21 years old. Judith had outlived all of her children by seven years. She died in 1662.

William Shakespeare was both an actor and a playwright. In his works Shakespeare described important and dramatic events of life. He produced thirty seven plays. William Shakespeare wrote a lot of poetry. His poems have been published in many languages.
The most famous works of Shakespeare are “ Othello”, “King Lear”, “Hamlet”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “Venus and Adonis”, “Midsummer dream”, “A lot of noise from nothing”, “Venice’s merchant”, “How do you like it”, “Twelfth night”, “Measure for measure”, “Othello”, “Macbeth”, “Anthony and Cleopatra”, “Winter fairytale”, “Storm”. All this works are full of love, passion, power. There are a lot of modern films based on these works.

“Romeo and Juliet”“Romeo and Juliet” was and still it is one of the most popular plays of William Shakespeare. It was played more than 2 000000 times, there are a lot of films based on the story of two lovers from enemy families. “Hamlet” and “Othello” are also very popular. These plays are called “classical”.

He produced a stream of plays of the highest quality.Finally in 1599, he became part owner in the playhouse in London, the Globe.The original Globe Theatre was build in 1599 by the playing company. It was destroyed by fire on June 29,1613. The Globe Theatre was rebuilt by June 1614 and closed in 1642.

William Shakespeare died on the 23th of April in 1616. Shakespeare was buried in the chapel of the Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon. His illness was unknown but Stratford’s vicar wrote that W. Shakespeare died from a feavour. Shakespeare’s funeral monument ,on the church wall nearest his grave has a bust of him posed in the act of writing . Shakespeare wrote his own epitaph.
