My SchoolSchool is something, we must all embrace. Knowledge we need, to seek out and chase.Subjects and teaching styles, are plentiful and vary. Just like the backpacks, we all need to carry.Sports, clubs, and activities, at every single turn. So much to do, study and learn. To get the most from school, we should consistently attend. Around each corner, there's always a friend. Our favourite teachers, are friendly and kind. Their passion and job, to expand every mind.
I really like my school, and just want to say, That's where I spend, most of my day.Countless activities, I get to do. For arts and crafts, I always use glue.During math class, I learn to add and subtract. ten times ten equals one hundred, that's an absolute fact. One of my favorite classes, is fun and called gym. I can nearly touch, that basketball rim.I also enjoy learning, difficult words to spell. My ears are programmed, for that school bell.I really like my school, and just want to say, I'm always excited, for the very next day.

School uniform: pros and cons
Dialogue: School uniformB: Hi, Jacky! Don’t you just hate having to wear these ugly school uniforms? I feel like I can’t express myself in these clothes. G: I like wearing a uniform to school. They make it easier for the teachers to find you if you got lost on an excursion. No one would find you if you aren’t wearing a uniform. B: Yes, but they are so plain. Clothes that you buy at the shops look much cooler. G: You don’t need to wear cool clothes to be cool. There are lots of other ways to be cool like. B: True, but uniforms make everyone look the same when they are all so different. I want to be different to my other classmates. G: But it’s good that we have the same clothes. It makes us remember that we are all at the same school and that we should be proud that we all go to school here. B: Whatever Jacky, I think uniforms make school boring. If people had different clothes with different styles they would make school much more interesting. G: But we are here to learn, Harman. If everyone was wearing their own clothes then maybe there would be less focus on their school work. B: I disagree, Jacky. Your clothes don’t make any difference what you learn. I can learn wearing whatever I want. G: But, Harman, we have to live by rules to succeed in life. Wearing school uniform teaches students to follow rules. You can’t just do whatever you want, you know. B: My mum and dad think that school uniforms are so expensive. They can buy cheaper clothes at K-market. G: But Harman, without uniform there would be a lot of pressure to wear the latest fashionable clothes. I feel safe and comfortable in my school uniform and it helps me learn. B: I disagree, Jacky, but you make some convincing points. It doesn’t mean you are wrong. We just have different opinions.
School punishmentsStudents are very "inventive" in their ways to make teachers' lives hard. Here are some punishments used in British schools.Lines - In England when a teacher gives you "lines", you write out some sentence again and again, perhaps fifty or one hundred times. For example, you can write such a lovely (clever, wise) sentence as "I must do my homework" or "I must not be late".Detention - If you are in detention, you stay after school to do extra work - perhaps "lines" or clean the classroom.Report - If you are "on report", you have a card which you give to the teacher at the end of every lesson. Each teacher reports if you have behaved well or badly.Suspension - If you are suspended, you cannot come to school for a few days or weeks. Your parents have to see the Head Teacher. This is serious.Exclusion - If you are expelled you are sent away from your school. This is serious. You have to go to another school where the teachers all know about your bad behaviour.
