The London Eye has 32 cabins which are fully enclosed capsules in the form of eggs, cabins are air-conditioned. Capsules represent a 32 suburbs of London. Each 10-tonne capsule can bring up 25 passengers. The wheel moves with a constant speed 26.4 centimeters per second (about 0.9 kilometers per hour). So, it takes about 30 minutes to make a full round. The Wheel does not stop to board the passengers because the speed allows passengers to get on and off at ground level.
Wheel supported by spokes and looks like a big wheel bike. Coverage of the London Eye has been replaced by LED lighting from Color Kinetics in December 2006, in order to allow digital control of the lights.
