Places I Would Like To See In The United States of America I know American people travel very much. I would say that is their lifestyle. I would like to visit the USA some day, because I think it is a wonderful country. There are many places that are worth seeing in America. First of all, I would like to visit Washington, the capital of the United States. I’d like to see the White House – the place where American president works. I’d like to have a look at the Capitol,which is in the center of the city. The Congress meets there. Of course, I would like to visit “The Big Apple”. It is an unofficial nickname of New York. Everyone who comes to America is eager to see the Statue of Liberty which standson Liberty Island in New YorkHarbor. It is the symbol of the USA and a symbol ofLiberty. America is known all over the world as the country of skyscrapers. They impress the tourists so much. No country in the world has so many of them. I’d like to start with the Empire State Building - the greatest skyscraper in the world. No doubt, I’d like to have a look at the Liberty Bell, an iconic symbol of American independence which is located in Philadelphia in Independence National Historic Park. I’d like to take a walk along the old streets of Boston, one of the oldest cities of the country. Americans say that Boston likes to live in the past. Boston is famous for its university - Harvard University. Why don’t we see the major water attraction of the region - The Niagara Falls – waterfalls on the river Niagara (51 meters high). It is situated on the border between the USA and Canada. There is always a rainbow over it. The western part of the country is also very beautiful, that’s why it attracts people from all over the world. I would like to admire the Golden Gate Bridge that stretches across the mount of San Francisco Bay, separating the bay from the Pacific Ocean. California is a dream for many people. I would also like to see Los Angeles and Hollywood Hills. I’d take a tram ride throughthe largest working TV and film studios, the home of blockbusterfilms. California is also famous for its Seqouia National Park. I can’t miss to see the largest trees on Earth, including General Sherman Tree. You are welcome to Disneyland! This theme park is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world. “Easy to get to, hard to leave”. It is about Las Vegas. Las Vegas is one of the top tourist destinations in the world. There are a lot of parks, playgrounds, sport fields, clubs, centers and other places of attraction and entertainment. I’d like to take photos in Grand Canyon. It is the best place to do it. Grand Canyon is one of the most popular and most visited national parks in the United States. It is also one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Located in Arizona, it attracts millions of tourists every year. Red Rock Valley and the Grand Canyon are spectacular. I’d like to have a great time in Chicago, the oldest and the largest city of American Midwest. The first thing I’ll do in Chicago is to take the elevator to the top of the Sears Tower and enjoy the wonderful view of the city. I think it will be very exciting to have a ”gangster tour” or take a boat trip under the bridges of Chicago River. I’m eager to see the central sight of the city- the bauble. History meets nature at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. Four famous American presidents are carved in the mountainside: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. A lot of people visit the Great Lakes because there are many national parks which attract tourists with its charming nature and many activities. I can’t miss these places to visit. The Southwest is full of dramatic landscapes. Every year, four million visitors come to marvel at the Grand Canyon. Tourists can look over the edge down to the Colorado River. The South of the US is famous for its Everglades National Park. This place looks exactly like the picture on the postcard. It’s full of all kinds of water birds. They’re fantastic! One more tourist destination is Miami. The city is nicknamed as the “Capital of Latin America”. Miami is home to many entertainment venues, theatres, museums, parks and performing arts centers. It is also host to many fashion shows and events. I’d like to attend one of them. Why don’t we take a walk in its parks and gardens? They are splendid! Because of very warm climate Miami is the popular tourist destination. It is famous for its beaches. American nature is fantastic! It is rich and various. There are beautiful mountains, covered with deep forests, lakes, rivers, where Americans like to spend their vacation. It would be great to travel across the USA. I have read a lot about the USA, but I am sure it’s much better to see everything by myself. I think my dream will come true,and I will see all the wonders of this country.
