History The Indians taught the pilgrims to grow corn, peas and carrots. In the autumn of 1621 people had their first harvest. It was rather good. They decided to have a special dinner. They wanted to thank God for many things. The year was difficult but people still had food to eat. History The colonists had a thanksgiving dinner for three days for all the people.
