Тема внеклассного мероприятия:Welcome to London!
Цели внеклассного мероприятия:
Формирование речевой компетенции (рассказ о стране изучаемого языка);
Расширить знания учащихся о стране изучаемого языка.
Задачи внеклассного мероприятия:
Познакомить учащихся с достопримечательностями столицы Великобритании;
Практиковать навык учащихся в аудировании связного текста;
Практиковать навыки устной речи учащихся;
Активизация лексики по теме: «Лондон»;
Формировать у учащихся интерес к культуре и народу страны изучаемого языка.
Форма проведения внеклассного мероприятия: виртуальная экскурсия по Лондону; игра.

Ход мероприятия
1. Организационная беседа.
Good morning, class. I am glad to see you, sit down, please. – Today we have an unusual lesson. We’ll go on a tour around London to see the famous places.

We shall start our lesson with the English sounds. You will see the names of some sightseeing in the presentation. I would read them and your task is to repeat after me.

4. Игра Snowball
Before we travel we need to pack all necessary things in our suitcase. So I want you to play a game. The game is called snowball. You one by one stand up, come to the table, take one card with the word and say: "I have in my suitcase a map". Then the second person takes another thing and namethe first thing and then his: "I have in my suitcase a map and a dictionary"

Now we have the most necessary things in out suitcase and we are ready to start out travel.

Welcome to our round London sightseeing tour. I'm glad to show you the most famous sights of London. But just a few words about London. It lies on the river Thames. The population of the city is about 8 million people. It is an ancient city, it is more than 2000 years old. London is one of the oldest and most interesting cities in Europe. Traditionally it's divided into several parts: the City, Westminster, the West End and the East End They are very different from each other and seem to belong to different towns and epochs.
The Heart of London is the City,it's financial and business centre. Numerous banks, offices and firms are situated there, including Bank of England. Westminster is the historic, the governmental part of London. The West End is the richest and more beautiful part of London. It's the symbol of wealth and luxury. The best hotels, shops, restaurants, clubs and theatres are situated there.
The East End was once the poorest district of London - with lots of factories and docks, narrow streets and unimpressive buildings. Today the district is changing very fast. There are huge offices and new blocks of flats in the East End. Andnowwe'vecometoBigBen.
