Мастер-класс по английскому языку по темам:
"World of jobs. Choosing a Career."

Цель: обмен опытом с коллегами.
Задачи: обобщить опыт работы в старших классах по темам: «Мир профессий.Карьера»
Ожидаемый результат: овладение участниками новыми творческими способами решения педагогической проблемы.

Ход занятия:
I. Организационный момент:
Dear children, I want to introduce you my colleaques, English teachers from schools of our district. They are very intelligent, friendly and kind.I hope you will like them.
Dear quests, these are my pupils. They are very intelligent, friendly and kind too.l think you will like them too.
II. Основная часть занятия:
l. Ha доске даются основные понятия данной темы.
A job A profession A career
Учащиеся дают определение каждому из понятий.
A job- is the work that a person does regularly in order to earn money.
A profession -is a job that requires special training, often a university education and brings a rather high social status. An occupation -is a job or profession.
A career - is the series of jobs that a person does in his or her life usually in one and the same field.
2. Беседа в режиме Т-Р1, Р2.... с использованием тематического вокабуляра.
Вопросы для беседы:
– Where can people look for a job?
– What kind of jobs can people have? (full-time, part-time, regular, odd jobs)
– What prospects can jobs offer?
– What can your choice of job be influenced by?
– Jobs can be attractive and not attractive. What qualities make them such?
– Different jobs require different things. What does a job of a doctor (a teacher, a model, a computer operator) require?
– Who and what can help you to make your choice?
– What are the most popular and important jobs at the turn of the century?
3. Компьютерная презентация результатов опроса мнений учащихся о выборе профессии и карьеры.
Одна из учащихся класса заранее получила задание провести opinion poll среди 30 учащихся английских групп по следующим вопросам:
– распределите 10 следующих профессий по степени важности и престижности для вас:
– electrician, teacher, journalist,computer operator, accountant, fireman, travel agent, lawyer, designer, model;
– распределите по степени значимости по мере убывания что может повлиять на ваш выбор профессии: follow someone's advice, be encouraged by teachers, parents ,friends, be inspired by some famous people, follow someone's footsteps;
– что важнее для вас – lt is better to have well-paid, but not interesting job or It is better to have badly paid, but interesting job.
4. Работа в группах.
Все учащиеся делятся на три группы( две по пять человек, одна-два-три). Первая группа получает задание-Prove that it is better to have well-paid but not interesting job.
Вторая группа – Prove that it is better to have badly paid but interesting job.
Третья группа – возьмите интервью у наших гостей.Попросите их ответить на следующие вопросы:
– Why have you chosen the profession of a teacher? -What should be done to make this profession more prestigious?
– What do you like in your profession?(don't like)
– If you were to begin from the beginning what career would you make?
На выполнение заданий учащимся даётся 5–7 минут, после чего один представитель от группы делает сообщение.
5. Работа с карточками.
Учащиеся получают карточки с текстом в котором им необходимо заполнить пропуски глаголами do или make.
It will(l).... a young person good if he or she (2)... a decision about his or her future career before leaving school. Choosing a career is not simple. While(3).... your choice you should think about your talents, what subjects you like (4)..., in what field you have already(5).... progress, whether you like(6)... things with your hands or prefer to work with your brains. In order not to(7)... a mistake you should think only of how to (8)... money in future. If you want to(9)... well in the chosen field you should be greatly interested in what you are (10)... You should (11)... some efforts to achieve success. (12)...your best to become a really good specialist and you will (13)... a fortune in the end, at least by (14)... a lot of friends.So(15)...yourself a favour.
После выполнения задания учащиеся проверяют правильность по ключу, вывешенному на доске. Во время выполнения задания в классе звучит музыка.
6. Представьте, что к вам обращаются выпускники с письмами, где они сообщают о своих умениях, предпочтениях, склонностях. Дайте им совет относительно их будущей профессии, обоснуйте свой выбор. Учащиеся по очереди подходят к столу учителя и вытягивают карточку с описанием. Примеры карточек.

Qualification and experience-1 am quite a good driver, I have a driving license, I have been driving for two years.
Preferences-1 am not sure that I want to go to university. I like working with machines but I don't mind working with people.
Other information- My hobby is taking pictures. I like giving pictures to my friends as presents.
б) Name – Mary
Surname – ColinsQualification and experience-1 sometimes babysit for my neighbours. Preferences-I'd like to work with children. Other information- I'm good at languages and history .7. Сообщения учащихся об их будущей профессии и какую карьеру они хотели бы выбрать (домашнее задание).
8. Просмотр видеосюжета "Dreaming about tomorrow".
В данном видеосюжете происходит разговор между двумя молодыми людьми – Clare и Bruce о том, кем они хотели бы стать, и ,если бы работа принесла им много денег, что бы они сделали, и , если бы они могли жить, где захотят, то где бы они жили.
Весь разговор происходит с использованием условных предложений второго типа:
– What would you like to be?
– If you were an actress, would you act on the stage or in films?
– If you had a lot of money, what would you do?
– If you could live anywhere, where would you live? Просмотрев видеосюжет учащиеся " мечтают " о будущем:
– If I were a (4–5–6 предложений)
9. Составление диалогов по теме.
Учащиеся подходят к столу учителя, на котором разложены полоски бумаги с одной или двумя фразами:
– I'm afraid I can't. I wouldn' t like to work with people.
– If I were you, I'd go to University after leaving school.
– Have you ever thought about your future career?
– I'm afraid that's not my line. I'm thinking of becoming a photographer.
– I'd love to .But I'm not quite sure what course to take.
– That's all right with me. I've been thinking of this career myself.
– It might be a good idea to try yourself in a profession of a teacher.
– I like working with machines. -Of course, very often, but I haven't decided yet.
– I strongly advise you to become a doctor.
– Would you like to go to University?
– Perhaps you could take up a profession of a driver? Учащиеся перемещаются по классу, ищут свою пару.
Затем они должны составить полный диалог по теме, взяв за основу первоначальные фразы.
Во время подготовки задания в классе звучит музыка.
III. Заключительный этап занятия.
Today we have spoken about the world of jobs. Of course it is very important to make the right choice. But I think it is more important what kind of person you will become. I wish you to find yourselves in this world, be kind, be honest, be noble everywhere and in everything.
