Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку Spring Holidays Celebrations

Цель: - ознакомить учащихся с культурой и традициями Британии; расширять кругозор учащихся, их словарный запас; - развивать логическое мышление, воображение, память, мотивационную сферу учащихся, интерес к языку; - воспитывать уважение к культуре, традициям и обычаям других стран.



Ход мероприятия
Warming-up activitiesa) Greeting
T: Good morning, dear boys and girls. I am glad to see you. (T →Cl)
Say ‘Hello’ (Pupils all together: ‘Hello’) and clap your hands (3 times).
Don’t say ‘No’ and, please, say ‘Yes!’
Are you fine? (all together: ‘Yes’) Are you fine, Masha? (- Yes, I am) How are you, Vlad? (- Fine, thank you) And you, Kate? (I’m fine, too) (T →P1, P2, P3)
T: Great! Sit down, please. Let’s start our lesson.
b) Doing the puzzle
T: Well, friends, to begin with, have a look at the blackboard, please. Here is a puzzle for you to do. Name all the words in the pictures, take only the first letter of each word and you will read the topic of today’s lesson. For example, a hat – letter ‘h’ ….. (вывешивается буква h на скотч или на магнит).

c) Answer the questions

(уч-ся называют праздники, которые им известны)- What’s your favourite holiday? d) Poem(учащимся предлагается стихотворение, работа с ним, после чего они должны догадаться о каких праздниках пойдет речь. Вывешивается еще одна табличка ,и получается фраза “Spring Holidays”)

T: Look at the flag and say what country has this flag.

T: Well, what are Easter symbols? (rabbits or Easter bunnies, baby chickens, coloured eggs, greeting cards, cookies, sweets and Easter cake). (учитель сопровождает беседу картинками или слайдами)3) “ Easter Pictionary”T: Let’s play a game “Easter Pictionary”. Look at the basket. There are cards with Easter objects on them there. Take a paper, read the word and draw it. Don’t say the word aloud. The children have to guess the word. A person, who guesses the word, gets a prize. (Words: a rabbit, a sweet, a carrot, an egg, a chocolate chicken, beautiful cards and so on).4) Easter Bunny T: Look at these greeting cards. What’s the most popular animal – one of the images of Easter? (a rabbit)
T: Thousands of years ago a hare or a rabbit was a symbol of the moon. Also Celtic people believed that the hare chased away the spirit of winter.
T: Let’s play a game “Find the Easter rabbit” (учитель/ дети прячут зайца в классе. Выбираются два участника. Кто из них быстрее найдет зайца).5) Easter Eggs
T: Look at the screen. What Easter image can you see? (an Easter egg)
What do we do with the eggs on Easter eve? (dye and decorate them)
T: People in Great Britain play different games with eggs. Parents hide eggs for children to find. Some English children spend the Easter morning hunting for eggs that the “Easter Bunny” has hidden from them. The child who finds more eggs wins a prize.
T: Egg-rolling is a traditional Easter pastime. People roll dyed boiled eggs down a slope until they are cracked and broken.( 2 участника должны прокатить яйцо как можно дальше )
D) April Fool’s Day (рассказ учителя об истории, традициях и обычаях этого праздника) T: Let’ see how the British celebrate this funny holiday.(учитель показывает слайды)E) Mother’s Day ( рассказ о происхождении праздника) 1) “ Mother’s Song”( учитель подбирает песню про маму и разучивает с детьми)
2) Mother’s Portrait(Учащимся дается задание заранее нарисовать портрет мамы. Организовать выставку работ учащихся. Оценивают свои работы сами учащиеся с помощью смайликов. Чья работа получит наибольшее их количество, становится победителем ).
III. Conclusion
“ Magic Bag”( Учащиеся достают предметы, связанные с праздниками. Они должны назвать праздник, к которому они относятся).
