«St.Patrick’sDAY» - 20 марта 2017 года
Необходимость и целесообразность проведения таких мероприятий состоит в том, что они:
во-первых, позволяют стимулировать у учащихся интерес к иностранному языку (который не является легким предметом для изучения), расширять кругозор, интеллект учащихся в игровой форме, приобщаться к лингвострановедческой культуре.
во-вторых, они помогают решать задачи эстетического воспитания, нравственного воспитания, способствуют формированию личности ученика через практические дела: оформление стендов, газет, коллажей, выставок рисунков, изготовление сувениров, подарков-сюрпризов своими руками, участие в спектаклях для младших школьников на английском языке.
в-третьих, постижение культуры другого народа, его обычаев, традиций, знакомство с жизнью и деятельностью представителей разных слоев его населения, помогают лучше и полнее осознать и понять свою национальную культуру, способствуют формированию гражданской позиции и чувства патриотизма.
Задачи :
Развивать навыки (умения) ознакомительного аудированияФормировать навыки коммуникативного общения и работы в коллективе (командная работа)
Развитие у детей (умения) концентрации внимания, так как дух соревнования заставляет тренировать себя, быть более собранным
Развитие умения пользоваться знаниями, полученными на уроках английского языка при участии в конкурсах
Обогатить знания учащихся о традициях и обычаях проведения “St. Patrick”sDay”, существующих в англоязычных странах.
Ознакомление учащихся с особенностями культуры и быта англоязычных стран (Ирландии, Св. Патрик – покровитель Ирландии).
Стимулирование интереса учащихся к изучению английского языка.
6. Развитие умений учебного сотрудничества при выполнении коллективных заданий.

2 горшка , шарики или монеты

Our today’s lesson will be devoted to holidays. Holidays are very important in the life of people. They tell us about our past, they show us who we are, where we belong to. They make our life more interesting and beautiful.. Do you like holidays ?

T: At our lesson we are speaking about one of the most popular holidays in Ireland. Look! This is Ireland. It is a green island.

The most important is St.Patrick’s day!
Let me introduce Patrick. Saint Patrick is the patron of Ireland. He is from Ireland!
Now, look around. Isn’t there a lot of green colour in the classroom?It is St. Patrick’s Day. It is the national holiday of Ireland and Ireland is called the “Emerald Island”.
T: The name of the country is Ireland. The patron saint is St. Patrick. The national emblem is a shamrock.
-The national musical instrument is a harp. The national sport is hurling. The national dance is a jig.
T: We should also have something green to get to Ireland. I have a green hat and a green dress. How about you ?
P:I have ….a green hat too.
When you have holidays, you will get presents, do you like presents ?
We’ll make a trip to the Emerald Ireland to get a box with presents ,but we have to participate in contests to get our box with presents. Do you like contests ?
T:To make a good start, let’s show our guests if we can speak English to visit the island.

Chuckles and Cherry will be our guide to the Emerald Island. They will tell us what we should do. They have a box with our tasks. So, what do they tell us to do first? Let’s look at the box.
T: The first contest is “Ireland “. I have two pictures of Ireland but naughty Chuckles and Cherry cut them and hide the parts in this room. There are 5 parts of the picture in this room. You should seek them. The team do that faster than the winner will do it .Country Mice will seek the yellow island and Town Mice will seek the green island. You will have 2 minutes !

On this day children and adults wear something green. And shops prepare green food, green bread, green pasta, green ice-cream, green milkshakes. People eat corned beef, and cabbage and drink Irish tea. Irish songs can be heard on the radio. TheIrishliketeaverymuch. They have toasts with orange jam and a cup of tea for breakfast.
And now we have anIrish breakfast .
