Цель: формирование коммуникативной компетенции
Задачи:
повторить лексику по теме и ввести понятие интернациональные слова;
активизировать употребление в речи грамматического материала «Степени сравнения прилагательных»;
формировать навыки аудирования;
практиковать в чтении тематических текстов с последующим изложением прочитанной информации;
воспитывать патриотизм, любовь к Родине, толерантное отношение к культуре других стан.

Organization moment
Good morning, dear children! I am glad to see you. How are you? Sit down, please. Today at our English lesson you will work in two groups six pupils in each. I hope you remember group work rules:

You know that London is on the river Thames. It is a very old and beautiful city. The political centre of London is Westminster. It is that part of London where there are a lot of offices. If you go down Whitehall from Trafalgar Square on the right you will see a small street where the British Prime Minister lives. He lives at number 10 Downing Street. Whitehall is a wide street leading to Parliament Square. On the left you can see a long grey building with towers which are the Houses of Parliament. The large clock in one of the towers is Big Ben. Big Ben is the name of the clock. You can hear the sound of Big Ben every hour in London.

London
London lies on the river Thames. It has a population of over 6 million people. It's an old city. London is famous for its historic buildings St. Paul's Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament, where you can see and hear the famous clock, Big Ben. It's also famous for its parks. There are five in the city centre. Children's favourite place is Hamleys, which is the biggest toyshop in the world.
London has problems with traffic and pollution. Over one million people a day use the London underground, but there are still too many cars.
London is a centre for business and for tourism. There are a lot of cinemas, theatres and museums.
Astana
Astana is the capital of Kazakhstan. It's in the central part of Kazakhstan, on the river Esil. It has a population of over sіх hundred thousand people. Astana is famous for its modern buildings. The popular buildings are the monument of Baiterek, the Circus and the entertainment centre of Duman. Astana also has a problem with traffic. There are many cars on the streets. That's why the city is noisy and crowded.
Astana is not a centre for tourism but it’s a cultural and business centre. It has a lot of cinemas, theatres and museums. Most of wide streets are in the centre.
