Тема: Home, sweet home.Цели:
- закрепление лексического материала по темам «Дом», «Мебель», «Цвета»;
- закрепление грамматических навыков (оборот there is/are, предлоги места);
- формирование и совершенствование навыков чтения, аудирования и письма.
Оснащение урока: учебник английского языка «Enjoy English» для 4 класса под ред. М.З. Биболетова, аудиоприложение к учебнику «Enjoy English» , тетрадь для работ по английскому языку, картинки по темам «Мой дом», «Мебель», «Цвета», «Звуки», «Погода», компьютер, проектор, интерактивная доска.Ход урока:
Приветствие.
Good morning, boys and girls! Sit down, please. How are you? What is the weather like today? (Учитель вывешивает картинку соответствующей погоды рядом с датой).Актуализация темы.
Т: Look at the board. What can you see? There is a poem. Who can read it? (Приложение 1)
When I think of ‘home’, I think of cherry pies.
When I think of ‘home’, I think of mulberry trees.
When I think of ‘home’, I think of butterflies.
When I think of ‘home’, I think of bumble bees.
Т: What is the poem about? Yes, you are right, about love to ‘home’.
Do you know any proverbs about love to ‘home’? Home, sweet home! What is the Russian variant of the proverb? This is our theme today. (Учитель записывает тему на доске).
Фонетическая зарядка.
Т: To speak about our ‘sweet homes’ we should warm up our tongues!
Look at the board! (Приложение 2) Repeat after me:

Do you have a room of your own or share it with anybody?

Закрепление грамматического материала (предлоги места).
Т: You want to decorate a room. Please, put things into different places. Use prepositions. What prepositions do you know?
Look at the slide! (Приложение 3) There is a picture of a room. Can you read the sentence above? What is missing in the sentence? Yes, a preposition is missing! Choose now, please, a proper one!

Чтение и аудирование. Закрепление грамматического навыка – оборот there is/are.
(на доске табличка с примерами употребления оборота there is/are. – Приложение 4)
Т: You choose design for a room, and you ask advice of your friend. For example, you can read Jill’s story of her room on page 28. Let’s read it! (учебник упр 24 стр 28)
But in the text there are some missing parts – ‘is’ and ‘are’. When do we use ‘is’, and when do we use ‘are’?
Take your pencils, read the text and mark ‘is’ or ‘are’.
Now let’s listen to the audio and check ‘is’ or ‘are’! (учебник упр 25 стр28)

Т: It’s time to decorate your flats! (на доске табличка в виде дома с четырьмя комнатами.) These rooms are empty. Decorate them! Take a piece of furniture, put it into a room and say,
e.g. There is a sofa in the living room.

bathroom and toilet
Sofa, lamp, chair, armchair, table, wardrobe, bed, pan, TV-set, computer, wash basin, toilet bowl, toothbrush, mirror, carpet, bathtub, picture, shelf, window.(Приложение 6)

Т: Now dream about decoration of your own flat. Make a list of things in each room. Think of their colours (Картинки «Цвета» размещены на доске). Take your copybooks and make up 3 sentences about your new rooms.
e.g. There is a red wardrobe, a green sofa and a brown lamp in the living room.
Speak about 3 or more subject in each room. Is the task clear? You have 5 minutes to do it.
Now let’s check! One reads his or her sentence and a next student translates it and reads his or her own sentence and so on.
