Цели урока: Образовательные
дать учащимся знания о некоторых уникальных природных шедеврах с использованием возможности интернета;
повторить пройденные и изучить новые лексические единицы в соответствии с темой урока и использовать эти единицы в коммуникативных целях;
совершенствовать навыки учащихся в четырех видах речевой деятельности: в области чтения, письма, говорения, аудирования;
расширить кругозор учащихся;
использовать межпредметные связи и развивать социокультурную компетенцию в обучении иностранного языка на данном уроке.
Воспитательные:
воспитывать личностные качества учащихся, например, уверенность при ответе, умение отстаивать свою точку зрения;
стимулировать интерес учащихся к учебному процессу, в частности к изучению английского языка;
способствовать максимальному проявлению творческих способностей учащихся.
Развивающие:
развивать познавательные и творческие навыки учащихся;
развивать умение учащихся самостоятельно конструировать знания;
развивать умение учащихся выступать с мультимедийной презентацией;
развивать умение учащихся анализировать и подводить итоги;
развивать социокультурную компетенцию
Основные понятия: wonder- is a feeling of strangeness, surprise usually combined with admiration, that is produced by something unusually fine or beautiful, or something unexpected or new to one’s experience.

Ход урока
1.Организационный момент (приветствие, определение настроения учащихся, сообщение целей и задач урока) – 1мин.
Teacher: Good morning
Pupils: good morning
Teacher: Glad to see you. How are you?
Pupils: Fine, thank you. And you?Teacher: I’m OK too. Today our task is to get acquainted with some other natural wonders of the world using multimedia technologies. So, let’s start.
2. Acquaintance with the seven natural wonders of the world – 3мин.
As you know a wonder is a thing or a person that makes you feel admiration mixed with surprise. There are no so many wonders in the world but when we come across them, we are not likely to forget them. They take your breath away and make you think about the unique character of our planet and people living on it. In fact, every person could make up their own list of the greatest wonders of the world but I offer you my list of such natural wonders.
Grand canyon (Northwest Arizona, the USA)
Great Barrier Reef (the Coral sea, in Northeast Australia)
Valley of Geysers (Kamchatka, Russia)
Mount Everest (on the boarder of Tibet and Nepal)
Aurora (in both hemispheres of the Earth)
Paricutin volcano (Mexico)
Victoria falls (on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe)

Teacher: today we’ll learn some information about this natural wonders while doing some assignments.
