Christmas Party
Objectives:
to develop student’s listening and speaking skills;
to develop students’ acting abilities, quick reaction to select necessary words:
to broaden student’s knowledge about celebrating Christmas in the UK;
to develop students’ curiosity and interest to the English language, to teach students to work in team.

BRITISH CHRISTMAS IN DONBASS
(FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN, 1-2 forms)
Звучит музыка входят Дед Мороз и Снегурочка.
Дед Мороз: Здравствуйте, ребята!
Снегурочка: Нет-нет, дедушка! Не так здороваться надо. Good morning or
Hello.
Дед Мороз: Ну, конечно. Hello, children! Вы узнали меня? А Мою Внучку?
Кто я? А как зовут мою внучку?
Пришел я к вам, ребята, сегодня за помощью, за ученьем. Пригласил меня к себе завтра в гости мой кузен из Англии – Санта Клаус.
Снегурочка: Завтра, 25 декабря, в Великобритании большой праздник –
Рождество. По aнглийски – Christmas.
Дед Мороз: Как-как, внученька? Фримас?
Снегурочка: Да. Нет же, дедушка Мороз. Christmas. Ребята, давайте повторим
все вместе. ( Повторяют слово несколько раз)
Дед Мороз: Вот, видите, ребята, как нелегко мне дается английский. Узнал я,
Что вы с 1 класса учите этот язык, и решил: может быть, помогут
мне ребятишки с языком.
Снегурочка: Ну, конечно же. Помогут. И я помогу. Ведь я знаю английский
тоже.
Дед Мороз: Спасибо, дети. Спасибо, внученька.
Снегурочка: Дедушка, ты, наверное, устал с дороги. Присядь, отдохни у этого камина.
Дед Мороз: Ох, и славный огонь. А носки зачем повесили? Сушить, наверно. Ноги промочили?
Снегурочка: Ха-ха-ха. Ну, что ты, дедушка! Разве ты не знаешь? Это же все дети знают. Зачем, ребята? ( Дети отвечают)
Правильно! Носки вовсе не сушат. В ночь пред Рождеством Санта спускается по дымоходу в дом и кладет в каждый носок подарок. Дедушка, а ты будешь своему кузену Санта Клаусу помогать? По Дымоходу в дом заходить будешь?
Дед Мороз: Нет, нет, нет. Я лучше по-своему – через окошко или кто дверцу оставит открытой. А подарок - под елку.
Снегурочка: Ребята, а вы знаете стихи о Новом годе и Рождестве на английском языке? Расскажите ДМ.
(Дети рассказывают стихи)

Дед Мороз: Very well, kids! Great! Well done! You know poems. Can you dance?
(Yes, we can dance Christmas dance.)
Снегурочка: Let’s dance it!
(Звучит Рождественская полька. Дети танцуют.)Дед Мороз: Great! I’m tired.
Снегурочка: Sit down, please, grandfather. ? Children, let’s teach my grandfather the ABC
А теперь, давайте, поможем Деду Морозу выучить АВС.
( Дети называют буквы алфавита, поют песенку)
Дед Мороз: Great! Now I know the ABC. Thank you.
Снегурочка: Look, kids? Who are they?
(Входят дети 4 классa, 3-4 человека)
Дети: Good morning, Father Frost! Hello, Snowmaiden! Hi, children!
Снегурочка: Good morning! These are our guests.
Дети: We came to sing a carol to you.
( Поют We wish you a merry Christmas)
Снегурочка: ДМ, ребята, давайте выучим эту замечательную колядку, а наши гости нам помогут. Please, help us!
Дети: OK! Repeat, please!
( Повторяют песенку по строкам. Дед Мороз и Снегурочка вместе со зрителями учат и поют песенку)Снегурочка: Thank you very much. It’s a beautiful song. Good bye!
Дед Мороз: Thank you. Merry Christmas!
Дети: Good bye! See you! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! (Уходят)
Снегурочка: What does it smell?
Что это пахнет? А, это мама-кошка (mother-cat) готовит
Рождественский пирог (a pie) для своих маленьких котят (kittens).
(Дед Мороз повторяет за снегурочкой и просит зрителей повторять погромче.)
It’s a surprise now! But first, let’s learn new words. Hello, Kittens!
Выходят дети 3 класса – 3 человека в костюмах котят. В руках таблички со словами.
Lost - потеряли Mittens - рукавички Found – нашли
Дети говорят слова, за ними по очереди повторяют Снегурочка, Дед Мороз и зрители.
Снегурочка: Ребята, вы запомнили? (Прикрепляет слова на видном месте.)

(The kittens go away.)

And they began to cry.
(The kittens run in.)

(Little Red Riding Hood goes out.)
Mother: Little Red Riding Hood, Little Red Riding Hood! Where are
you? Little Red Riding Hood: I am here, Mother. What's the matter?
(Little Red Riding Hood comes in.)
Mother: Little Red Riding Hood! Today is your grandmother's birthday. Take a cake, some apples and a jug of honey to her.
Little Red Riding Hood: All right, Mother.
Mother: Don't speak to anybody on the way. Don't stop in the wood. And don't pick any flowers or mushrooms there.
Little Red Riding Hood: All right, dear Mother. Good-bye!
Mother: Good-bye, darling.
(Little Red Riding Hood goes out.)
Scene II
(Little Red Riding Hood in the wood.)Little Red Riding Hood: How nice it is in the wood. There are many trees, flowers and mushrooms. I'll pick some flowers for my grandmother.
(The Wolf appears.)
T h e W o 1 f: I am big and grey. I live in the wood. I want to eat up LittleRed Riding Hood. Children: Go away, go away, you bad Wolf!
The Wolf: Hush, children! (He goes up to Little Red Riding Hood.)
Good morning, Little Red Riding Hood.
Little Red Riding Hood: Good morning, Mr. Wolf.
The Wolf: Where are you going, Little Red Riding Hood?
Little Red Riding Hood: I am going to my grandmother. It's
her birthday today. I take a cake, some apples and honey to her. The Wolf: Where does she live, your grandmother?
Little Red Riding Hood: She lives in a little house in the wood near the river.
The Wolf: Is it far from here?
Little Red Riding Hood: No, it is not.
The Wolf: Well, good-bye, Little Red Riding Hood.
Little Red Riding Hood: Good-bye, Mr. Wolf.
Scene III
(The Wolf comes to Grandmother's house and knocks at the door.)
Grandmother: Who is there?
The Wolf: It's me, Little Red Riding Hood.
Grandmother: Come in, darling.
(The Wolf runs up to Grandmother and wants to catch her up, but she runs away. The Wolf puts on Grandmother's dress and cap and lies in bed. Soon Little Red Riding Hood appears near Grandmother's house.)
Little Red Riding Hood (singing):
Clap, clap, clap,
Rap, rap, rap,
I'm knocking at the door,
Tap, tap, tap.
The Wolf: Who is there?
Little Red Riding Hood: It's me, Little Red Riding Hood.
The Wolf: Come in, my dear.
Little Red Riding Hood: Good morning, Granny.
The Wolf: Good morning, Little Red Riding Hood.
(Little Red Riding Hood puts the basket on the table and comes up to
Granny's bed.)Little Red Riding Hood: Many happy returns of the day!
The Wolf: Thank you, my dear.
Little Red Riding Hood: What big eyes you have, Granny!
The Wolf: The better to see you, my dear.
.Little Red Riding Hood: What big ears you have, Granny
The Wolf: The better to hear you, my dear.
Little Red Riding Hood: What sharp teeth you have, Granny!
The Wolf: The better to eat you up!
(And the Wolf jumps out of the bed and wants to catch Little Red Riding
Hood, who is shouting: "Help! Help!" Grandmother and the Hunter come in. The Hunter shoots and the Wolf
falls down.)
Grandmother: Oh, thank you very much!
The Hunter: Oh! It's really nothing.
That's the end of the story. Did you like it, children?
Children: Yes, we did! Thank you!

Снегурочка: It’s time to go out! Пора собираться! Ну, что, дедушка, как твой английский? Is your English good?
