Цель урока: определить степень влияния СМИ на нашу жизнь, положительные и отрицательные стороны этого влияния.
Задачи:
-воспитательная: воспитание понятия норм и культурных ценностей, культуры речи.
-развивающая: развитие критического мышления, развитие социокультурной компетенции, развитие навыка общения.
-обучающая: практика грамматических навыков по теме: «Косвенная речь, согласование времен», практика в чтении и умении извлекать определенную информацию при чтении, решение коммуникативных задач: обменяться мнениями об услышанном или прочитанном, формировать умение использовать языковую и контекстуальную догадку в процессе восприятия речи на слух и при чтении.Оборудование: УМК, компьютер, интерактивная доска, раздаточный материал.

Ход урока.
Орг.момент. Сообщение целей задач и плана работы на уроке. Good morning, children. Today we’ll speak about different kinds of mass media and try to find out which source of information is better. To begin with, I’d like to ask you some questions.
2. Речевая зарядка. (5 мин.)1). How do people get information about the world?
-For most people the main source of information is mass media, which include television, radio, newspapers, magazines and the Internet.
2). What are advantages of the radio?
-We can listen to the radio everywhere: in a car, in the street, in the open air and at home when you are doing something about the house.
3) What kinds of programmes can you listen to on the radio?
-Listeners can tune into all kinds of stations: pop or classical music, news, sports or foreign radio stations.
4). What are disadvantages of the radio?
-We cannot see the image of what is going on.
5). Why do most people prefer watching TV?
-Most people prefer watching TV because it’s a good way to spend free time and not to feel bored.
6). What kinds of programmes can you see on TV?
-We can see a great variety of programmes such as: news, current events, documentaries, feature films, soaps, serials, quizzes, cartoons and many other programmes.
7). What are advantages of TV?
-Television keeps us informed about the rest of the world. It gives us an opportunity to travel all over the world, to see different people and to learn about their customs and traditions.
8). What are advantages of TV?
-Watching television you can see everything with your own eyes.
9).What are the main disadvantages of TV?
-There are a lot of poor-quality programmes which contain bad language and violence. Watching violence on TV can lead to greater violence in the streets.
What are the main disadvantages of TV?
- There are too many adverts on TV. It’s very annoying when a film stops at the most interesting moment for ads. Besides, most advertisements are boring and foolish.
10). What are the two main kinds of newspapers?
- There are two main kinds of newspapers: Broadsheets and tabloids.
11). What other kinds of newspapers do you know?
-There are local newspapers and free newspapers.
12). What sort of information do broadsheets contain?
-Broadsheets contain long informative articles about economics, politics and business. They don’t have bright pictures and headlines.
13). What can you say about tabloids?
-Tabloids contain short articles about famous people: film stars, singers. They also have a lot of pictures, bright headlines and a lot of advertisements.
14). What kind of information can you get from local newspapers?
-From local newspapers we can learn about the latest events in the local area. They also give information about films, concerts and other things.
15). What are free newspapers?
-Free newspapers are local newspapers, which contain a lot of advertisements and also some news.

First read them and translate. I think I’ll buy this tea because I think it is delicious.
