Цели :1.Развитие навыков говорения, аудирования в процессе творческого общения студентов с учителем и между собой на основе изучаемой теме
2. создание творческой атмосферы в группе.
3. Развитие интереса студентов к культурному наследию Великобритании.
Форма внеклассного мероприятия : литературный клуб.
1)Teacher: Good morning everybody. The meeting of our club is dedicated to the greatest playwright in world literature William Shakespeare. I am sure that you will take part in our discussion. Let’s listen to some more facts from William Shakespeare’s biography and the time when he lived and worked.
Pupil 1: the name of William Shakespeare is known all over the world. William Shakespeare is one of the greatest and the most famous writers of the world.The last half of the16th and the beginning of the 17th centuries are known as golden Age of English Renaissance and sometimes are called “The Age of William Shakespeare”
p. 2 .People often called William Shakespeare” Our national bard”, “The immortal Poet of Nature”. We really know few facts of his life and many of them are doubtful. But some facts are known to us and are proved by documents.
p.1The first facts of William Shakespeare’ biography are that he was born on April 23, 1564 in Stratford-on Avon. It was a small English town. His father was a dealer in corn, meat, wool. His father wanted him to be an educated person and William was sent to the local grammar school. William’s mother was a daughter of a rich farmer in the village of Wilmcote.
p.2 We also know that , being 18 years old, William married Anne Hathaway, who was 9 years older that himself. They had a daughter Susanna and twins – son Hamnet and daughter Judith.
p.1 It’s known that in 1567 William Shakespeare went to London, to find a job, where he began writing plays staged at the Globe Theatre. By 1592, he had been an important member of a well-known acting company. There he became an actor. Shakespeare was both an actor and a playwright. In his work he described the most important and dramatic events in life. His plays were staged in many theatres, translated into many languages and they made Shakespeare a very popular man.
p.2. It is known that only in 1611, at the height of his fame, William Shakespeare returned to Stratford, where in April 23, 1616 he died. He was buried in a fine church in Stratford. We don’t know a lot of facts about Shakespeare’s life. We can only guess what kind of man he was, that’s why there many legends about his life.
Р1.The writer’s most famous plays are “Othello”, “King Lear”, “Hamlet”, and “Romeo and Juliet”. He produced 37 plays. He was connected with the best theatres in England for 25 years.
2) Teacher: You have mentioned the main facts in William Shakespeare’s biography. Now , tell me please, do you agree or disagree with some facts.
William Shakespeare was born in the 17th century. Is it true?
William got a good education in London.
William married late, his wife was younger than him .William Shakespeare had three children: daughter Susana and twin sons.
His wife Anne Hathaway loved theatre very much.
William Shakespeare never acted on stage.
William Shakespeare died in London and was buried in Westminster Abbey
William Shakespeare wrote 47 plays, 154 sonnets, 2 poems.
3) Teacher: Than you for your answers. I see that you know William Shakespeare’s life rather well. As you know, in London William Shakespeare became an actor of the Globe Theatre and began to write plays for it. He wrote tragedies, comedies and historical plays. I’m hope that you know them. So I ask you to divide his plays into tragedies and comedies.

4) Teacher: Listen to the account from one of William Shakespeare’s plays and tell us what play it is from. What mostly troubled the young prince was uncertainty about his father’s death. Claudius told everybody that snake had bitten the King. The young prince suspected that Claudius himself had killed the king. How right was he? What ought he to think of his mother? (From “Hamlet, Prince of Denmark”)
Teacher: What was the name of young prince? Well, his name is Hamlet.
